Loton Park - 2008
Loton’s ’08 season began with a flurry of overnight snow that made for a tricky journey up from Worcester. The reward though, was some unusual wintery backdrops for my images that morning. The downside was a bleak wind that sliced you in two as you perched on Museum Corner. By the time I came down off the hill that day I was struggling to work my camera due to numbness of the fingers. See how we photographers suffer? See how dumb we are? (Note to self: next time you make a flask of hot coffee, don’t leave it at home in the kitchen)
The 2008 calendar of events at Loton was as varied and entertaining as ever with excellent entries from numerous owners clubs and some top notch hill climbing.
The lure of Western Crete enforced my absence from the final Loton fling in September but next season’s dates are already pencilled into the 2009 diary so here’s hoping for a blizzard-free weekend to get us underway.
As ever, a huge thanks to everyone at Loton and the Hagley & District Light Car Club for the welcome they extended to me and the help I received throughout the season.
